Things You'll Need:
- Black mascara
- False eyelashes
- Eye shadow
- Color glitter mascara
-
Step 1
Choose a mascara formula for evening that both lengthens and thickens the lashes. Although brown mascara is fine for daywear, always use black mascara for eveningwear.
-
Step 2
Place some false lashes in the outer corners of each top eyelash row for an intense, dramatic eye. Add mascara after applying the lashes to help them blend into your natural eyelashes.
-
Step 3
Extend the lashes for a false eyelash look by placing the wand where the top lashes meet the eyelid. Pull the wand to the eyelash tips while twirling the wand to release the mascara.
-
Step 4
Add another coat of mascara to thicken the eyelashes to pump up the lashes. You must add the second coat before the first coat dries to prevent clumps, so work on one eye at a time.
-
Step 5
Look up to apply mascara to the lower eyelashes. Tap the mascara onto the bottom lashes. Too much mascara on the lower lashes yields a spidery look, so highlight with eye shadow instead.
-
Step 6
Finish the look with a light application of colored mascara that contains glitter at the tips of the lashes. Choose a color that is most opposite your eye color to make eyes pop such as burgundy mascara for green eyes.
