Step 1
Choose the correct shade of concealer. For under-eye circles, it's important to balance the blueness with a yellow or peach tone. For pimples, choose a cooler shade to balance the redness.
-
Step 2
Decide where the concealer will go. Under-eye circles and pimples benefit from concealer, but it can also be used for parts of the face with uneven tone, like your nose or chin. Also, after foundation, concealer can be used as a highlighter to brighten certain features.
-
Step 3
Dip a flat concealer brush into the product and remove excess by wiping or dabbing on a "can" (what makeup artists use for blending) or the back of your hand. Too much concealer on the brush makes it harder to blend for a natural look.
-
Step 4
Apply the concealer with a brush in small dots on the desired areas of your face.
-
Step 5
Blend the small dots well with your finger or the brush, making sure that the concealer is undetectable.
-
Step 6
Set concealer with loose powder. Loose powder works best because it isn't heavy or cakey, and it allows the concealer to last throughout the day.
