Give your skin a healthy dose of sunshine by using bronzer as the finishing touch in your makeup routine. Use bronzer as a blush substitute especially during warm weather months. Bronzer is available in liquids or powders from most cosmetic retailers.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Powder or liquid bronzer
  • Wide powder brush
  • Moisturizer
  1. Step 1

Select a bronzer that matches your natural tan. Check your reflection in natural light to make sure the bronzer gives your face a natural glow. Try a lighter shade if the color looks too obvious or has an orange tint. Choose a powder bronzer for use with foundation. Consider a liquid bronzer to replace your foundation.

  2. Step 2

Follow your usual makeup routine but do not apply blush or a powder finish. Consider applying your foundation lightly to achieve a natural summertime glow.

  3. Step 3

Use a wide, full, soft powder brush to apply your powder bronzer. Tap the brush firmly against a hard surface to remove excess powder from the brush.

  4. Step 4

Dust your powder brush across the surface of your powder bronzer. Apply bronzer to your forehead, chin, nose and cheek. Apply the bronzer as you normally apply blush to give your face all-over color. Brush on the bronzer lightly since it is easier to add more color than to remove existing makeup. Apply bronzer until you achieve the natural sun-kissed glow you seek.

  5. Step 5

Brush the bronzer over your cheekbones for a tanned, bronze appearance. Apply the bronzer sparingly to accent your blush and create natural-looking contours under your cheekbones.

  6. Step 6

Apply powder bronzer to your neck, shoulders and neckline to continue the sun-kissed look on exposed areas. Mix a liquid bronzer with moisturizer or purchase an all-body bronzer to give your entire body a temporary bronzed glow.
