Things You'll Need:
- Wooden block
- Socket set
- Ratchet

Step 1
Disconnect the spark plug wire so no power will reach the lawn mower blade.

Tilt the lawn mower onto its rear wheels. Use a wooden block to secure the blade so it can't move.

Use the appropriate socket and a heavy duty ratchet to loosen and remove the bolt that holds the blade on the lawn mower.

Step 4
Remove the locking bracket.

Step 5
Pull the old lawn mower blade off of the lawn mower.

Take off the blade adaptor.

Step 7
Place these in a secure location because you will need them to secure the new blade to the lawn mower.

Step 1
Slide the blade adapter back on the lawn mower.

Step 2
Line up the new blade to the blade adapter. The side of the blade with the printing should face the ground.

Step 3
Fit the locking bracket on the new blade. It will only fit one way.

Step 4
Replace the bolt and secure it, making it as tight as possible.
