Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Wheel of Brie cheese
  • Oven
  • Glass dish
  • Nonstick cooking spray
  • Apricot or peach jam
  • Slivered almonds
  • Baguette or crackers
  1. Step 1

Buy a double or triple creme wheel of Brie at the grocery store. The cheese counters at most grocery stores are stocked with all kinds of cheeses, so you should have no problem finding a good wheel of Brie.

  2. Step 2

Use a glass baking dish that is a little larger in diameter than the wheel of Brie. Spray the dish with a nonstick cooking spray to keep the Brie from sticking to the pan during baking.

  3. Step 3

Slice the top off the wheel of Brie using a piece of thin fishing line. Place the line just under the top of the cheese facing you and pull the fishing line toward you.

  4. Step 4

Top the Brie with apricot or peach jam and slivered almonds.

  5. Step 5

Place the dish in a 325-degree F oven and bake for 20 to 25 minutes or until the Brie and jam start to bubble around the edges.

  6. Step 6

Serve the warm, bubbly, gooey cheese with slices of baguette or crackers.

Tips & Warnings
  • Use a different topping to change the flavor of the Brie. Try raspberry chipotle sauce topped with pecans to add a kick to the flavor.
  • Prepare an extra baked Brie that you can pop in the oven as soon as you start serving the first one. This is so delicious that you will want to have more on hand when your guests gobble up the first one.
  • Don't use a bread or crackers with a lot of flavor. You want the main taste to be the baked Brie and not have a competition between too many flavors.
