Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Fake mustache
  • Spirit gum or prosthetic adhesive
  • Cotton swab
  • Wax paper
  • Makeup that matches the mustache
  1. Step 1

Prepare the area where you are applying the fake mustache. Wash and dry the skin thoroughly. Men should be completely clean shaven.

  2. Step 2

Squirt a small amount of the spirit gum or adhesive on a piece of wax paper. Roll the cotton swab in the adhesive so it covers the entire tip. You can use your finger if you don't have a cotton swab.

  3. Step 3

Apply the adhesive directly to your face. Spread a thin layer and wait for it to dry a bit, until it is tacky.

  4. Step 4

Press the fake mustache to your face. Apply gentle pressure until the mustache is secure.

  5. Step 5

Use makeup that matches your fake mustache to blend in any empty patches around the mustache.

Tips & Warnings
  • Test the spirit gum or adhesive on your skin to determine whether or not you're allergic. If you are, you can buy a skin protectant to apply between your skin and the adhesive.
  • You can also apply mascara directly to the fake mustache to make it appear thicker. Make sure the mascara matches the color of the mustache.
