Step 1
Work your way from back to front, and bottom to top. Section hair into three parts in the back, one on each side and two sides on the top giving a total of seven areas. Razor cuts should be made on damp or wet hair.
-
Step 2
Keep quite a bit of resistance on the hair when you hold it between your fingers, allowing for the razor to swiftly slice through the hair behind your fingers.
-
Step 3
Twist hair into smaller sections within the divided parts. Cut small sections of the sides near the bottom by pinching little groups of hair in your fingers. Hold the twisted locks of hair out to cut.
-
Step 4
Comb the razor across the tuft while lifting in an upward motion to cut. Cut with the razor, and fluff it back up to check that you obtain the textured style.
-
Step 5
Cross check all cuts after you are done by running your hands against the flow of the hair to make sure you have achieved the desired texture.
