Add flare to your gifts with ribbons. Using wide curling ribbons you can do more than just place bows on the package. Even if you are a novice at wrapping gifts, there are easy ways to make your packages pop.

Instructions

Difficulty: Moderately Easy

Things You’ll Need:

  • Wrapped gift
  • Clear tape
  • Scissors
  • Wide curling ribbons

Step1
Begin with 2 feet of excess ribbon, and hold the ribbon between your thumb and forefinger.
Step2
Place the ribbon, with 2 feet of ribbon on your left, on the upper left front corner of the gift. Begin wrapping the ribbon to the right, so that the upper left hand corner has a line of ribbon.
Step3
Continue wrapping the ribbon around the back, and downward to the bottom right hand corner. You should have 2 parallel lines on the upper left hand corner and the lower right hand corner of the gift.
Step4
Finish the loop with the remaining ribbon. You should end where you began with the ribbon.
Step5
Measure another 2 feet of excess ribbon and make the final cut. The 2 ends, with 2 feet of ribbon on each end, should overlap on the final corner line.
Step6
At the upper left hand corner, tie a tight bow with the ends of the ribbon. You can use clear tape to hold the ribbon in place if it begins to slip.
Step7
Use 1 blade of the scissors, and hold the blade and the ribbon between your forefinger and thumb. Pull the ribbon, and the scissor blade, toward you to curl the ribbon on each side.
