Although Halloween is a time to dress up in costume, you don't have to apply a lot of makeup to get the look you want. By concentrating on your eyes, you can transform yourself into any character, from sexy cat to scary ghost. Follow these steps on how to apply Halloween eye makeup.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Accentuate each eye using the makeup you wear on a daily basis. Inexpensive Halloween makeup can cause skin irritation, especially around sensitive eye areas. Select a brand you trust and know is right for your skin type.

  2. Step 2

Use makeup sparingly when applying it to your eyes. Although many people go overboard with Halloween makeup, you can achieve dramatic results with little effort that will add interest to your costume. All you need, for most looks, is eye shadow, eyeliner, and mascara.

  3. Step 3

Achieve sexy eyes using black liquid eyeliner when dressing in a cat or vampire costume. Apply your regular makeup foundation as a base, and then use the liquid eyeliner to paint a line on your upper lid. Starting at the corner of the lid, extend the eyeliner beyond your eye in a slight upward curve. Finish with a coat of black mascara.

  4. Step 4

Purchase dark or metallic-colored eye shadow when attending a Halloween party as a witch. Smudge the eye shadow with your fingertips to create a sultry effect, and apply a bit of eye glitter at the lash line to finish the look.

  5. Step 5

Transform yourself into a ghost using white eye crème makeup. Apply the crème makeup on your entire eyelid, and extend it below your eye, as well. To prevent the makeup from wearing off, use a brush to add a light dusting of white powder.

Tips & Warnings
  • Have eye crème on hand for the end of the night when you want to remove your Halloween eye makeup.
