As a way to pamper your feet and get rid of dead skin cells, you should regularly exfoliate your heels. The heel of your foot takes a lot of abuse and needs pampering from time to time. Exfoliating takes only a few minutes and should be done weekly.

Instructions
  1. Step 1

Plan to exfoliate in the bath or the shower. You can exfoliate the heels at anytime, but the tub makes for less mess and also softens the skin before you start.

  2. Step 2

Pick out an exfoliating scrub to use on your feet. A sea salt scrub is the most effective on feet and can be found almost anywhere. Buy the scrub at a pharmacy or any store that sells beauty supplies.

  3. Step 3

Apply a generous amount of the scrub to the heels. Massage the area for several minutes in a circular motion. You can use a lot of pressure on the area, since the heels are used to taking a lot of abuse.

  4. Step 4

Wash away the scrub once you are done massaging the feet. Both heels should be exfoliated at the same time.

  5. Step 5

Dry your feet with a towel after you get out of the tub. Place a foot cream or moisturizer on the heels.

Tips & Warnings
  • If you have a lot of dry skin and calluses, you may want to use an exfoliating brush as well. The brush can help rid the heels of dead skin cells.
  • If you don't plan to take a shower or bath when exfoliating the heels, consider soaking them in a foot bath first.
