Instructions

Difficulty: Challenging

Step1
Adjust your seat so that it's tilting back, with the front end noticeably higher than the back. After you get more comfortable with the trick, you can lower your seat to a more even position.
Step2
Lean back as you sit on the seat of your BMX bike.
Step3
Pinch the seat of your BMX bike with your knees. This prevents the front end from dropping as you're jumping, thus giving you some more air time to spin the bars on your BMX bike.
Step4
Take your hands off the handlebars and spin them around.
Step5
Catch the handlebars once they've spun all the way around and make sure your tire is facing front again. You can spin the bars in the direction that feels most comfortable for you.
Step6
Keep your eyes on the bars as you're doing a bar spin on BMX bike. Not doing so may mean not catching the handlebars once they've spun all the way around, causing you to go off course and possibly crash.
Step7
Do a bar spin on a BMX bike while on the ground first. This allows you to focus on the trick and get the timing down.
Step8
Try doing the bar spin on your BMX bike while jumping. Make absolutely certain that the bars are facing front before landing. Having them even slightly turned could make for a rough landing.
