The bag of tricks of every balloon modeler contains a number of wearable hats. Hats can be transformed in any way your creativity sees fit, but every beginner must start somewhere. For instance, a double bow hat can be worn as is, but also makes great base for your own designs. So, with a couple balloons and some simple twists, you'll be wearing a double bow hat in no time.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • 3 long balloons in various colors
  1. Step 1

Fill a long balloon so that just 1 to 2 inches is left uninflated at the end. Make a loop by tying the knot and the loose end together. Turn the loop into a bow by holding the knot in one hand and the center of the loop in the other. Push the 2 points together and twist.

  2. Step 2

Make a second bow in the same manner, using the same color or a contrasting color for an extra wild double bow hat.

  3. Step 3

Create a basic hat base by first fully inflating another long balloon in a contrasting color. Make a small bubble at the knot end of the balloon and then wrap the extra balloon around your head for the perfect fit. Bring the excess balloon up and over the top, and twist a small bubble into the very end. Find the center of the balloon loop and twist the bubble around to secure your hat base.

  4. Step 4

Twist the center of each bow onto either bubbled end of your basic hat base to complete your double bow hat.

  5. Step 5

Wear your double bow hat as is either lengthwise or side-to-side. Get elaborate and add an arch or more bows for a wild and unique hat creation.
