Balloon hats are an essential skill in balloon modeling and come in an infinite array of forms. A balloon hat can be as simple or as intricate as your skills allow and promise hours of entertainment for adults and children alike. Whether you are just beginning balloon modeling or are looking to expand your skills, you will have a great time creating this alien hat.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Imprinted alien eyes 5-inch round balloon
  • Long balloons
  • Markers (optional)
  1. Step 1

Twist a small bubble into the knot end of a long balloon and wrap the long portion around your head to find your fit. Pinch the balloon where it meets the bubble and wrap the bubble around the balloon. Twist another small bubble into the end of the balloon and bring the rest of the balloon up and over the top of your head. Find the center of your looped balloon, pinch and wrap the small bubble around the balloon to secure your hat base.

  2. Step 2

Make a loop with a second balloon by simply inflating a long balloon and tying the ends together. The effect of the alien is best if you match the color of your long balloons to your imprinted alien eyes balloon.

  3. Step 3

Hold the knot of your balloon loop and squeeze down the length of the balloon to find the center portion. Press the balloon together gently at the center to make a slight indentation. Make a bow from your balloon loop by holding the knotted end in one hand and the center of the balloon in the other. Push the ends together and twist, forming the bow.

  4. Step 4

Find the center of the top portion of your hat. Push your balloon bow through the hat, under the top portion and twist it on at the middle. Tie the 5-inch alien eyes balloon into the center of the bow and you have finished your alien balloon hat.

  5. Step 5

Use a marker to draw alien eyes onto your 5-inch round balloon if you cannot find imprinted balloons.
