Things You'll Need:
- 1 long balloon
- 1 small round balloon (optional)
- Marker (optional)
-
Step 1
Stretch your long balloon, gently, a few times and then fill it up with air. Be sure to leave 1 to 1 1/2 inches empty at the end of the balloon.
-
Step 2
Fold the balloon in half, making sure the ends line up together. Firmly grip the loose ends of the balloon and make 1 full 360 degree twist with the loose ends. The twist should begin about 3 1/2 inches from the ends of the balloon and when completed should be straight in line with the rest of the balloon. This twist creates the fish tail.
-
Step 3
Squeeze the balloon together to find the center of the opposite side of the balloon. Again, grip the balloon about 3 1/2 inches from the center point and make a full 360 degree twist to create the fish lips.
-
Step 4
Hold your balloon fish sculpture at both ends and gently push towards the center to give the balloon more of a fish shape.
-
Step 5
Add some final touches if you like. You might blow up a small balloon and squeeze it into the center hole of your fish to make the belly. Draw on fish scales, eyes or fins with a soft tip marker.
