eBay's global marketplace is known for being an online auction site, however, you don't have to bid on items in order to purchase them. You'll find the "Buy It Now" feature very useful when you're ready to make an immediate purchase, avoiding "the waiting game" that auctions are known for.

Instructions

Difficulty: Moderate
Step1
Navigate the 2 types of eBay auctions that utilize the "Buy It Now" feature. Auction items can either have a bid price and the "Buy It Now" feature, or just the Buy It Now feature with no bidding.
Step2
Locate quick and convenient deals as the "Buy It Now" feature allows you to buy an item instantly, quickly and conveniently. Find a gift or purchase an item at a fair price without the wait.
Step3
Look for the black and red "Buy It Now" icon next to a listed eBay item. Seeing this icon means the seller is willing to end the sale at the noted price whether than waiting for the auction to end.
Step4
Pay attention to what auction price the item you're searching for typically goes for. By researching these prices, you'll know what a good deal is when you search for the "Buy It Now" items.
Step5
Use the "Watch" feature to track auctions, seeing how bids increase and finally, seeing what the item actually sells for. Compare other Buy "Buy It Now" auctions as well to see what typical prices are.
Step6
Find the item that is right for you and use the "Buy It Now" feature within that item's listing page. Verify yourself with your eBay user name and complete the sale with payment information.

Tips & Warnings

  • Note that shipping and handling charges are not included in the "Buy It Now" price. The only time there is not an additional fee is if the Shipping column says "free."
