Hotwire.com, like other travel sites, offers lower prices on cruises, hotel packages, vacation packages, hotel reservations, airline tickets and car rentals. Hotwire has access to larger travel company's unsold inventory and brings those low prices to the consumer.

Instructions

Step1
Visit Hotwire.com and click the top "Hotels" tab or select "Hotels" out of the top box entitled, "Find deals you won't see anywhere else."
Step2
Enter your destination city, number of travelers and rooms needed. You can specify a certain hotel if you choose.
Step3
View the matches shown to you on the following page. Compare the results based on best value, star rating, price or distance.
Step4
Use the "Shopping Tools" to save the trip, e-mail the trip to yourself or a friend, print the page or send trip details via instant message.
Step5
Select a hotel booking and click on it to learn more on the following page, including exact location, amenities and reviews. When you've found the best match for you, click "Continue."
Step6
Provide your name as the primary traveler and continue. Enter appropriate payment information and review other trip details on the same page. Once complete, click "Book Trip."
Step7
Receive email confirmation of your booked hotwire.com trip and look forward to your getaway, knowing you got a great deal.

  • Watch for special hotwire.com deals. Sometimes it will be more cost-effective to pair a hotel booking with a flight or car rental. Hotwire also offers special vacation packages.
