Visit Expedia.com and click on the "Hotels" tab.

Choose whether you prefer hotel only, hotel with flight, hotel with car or all of the above.

Select your location and destination, travel dates, number of rooms required and numbers and ages of adult and child passengers.

Consider additional options, which let you choose the name and rating of the hotel. Click "Search" to continue.

View the hotel list, area map view and hotel map view from the following page. Review the accommodations options presented. You may view results based on Expedia picks, hotel name, price, city, hotel class and traveler opinion.

Select the hotel option that most fits your needs and select "Book it."

Review the rate, hotel details, rules and descriptions. Select "Continue with Booking" when you are satisfied with the option.

Sign in if you are a registered Expedia user. If not, opt to create an account or log in as a guest after checking the box indicating you agree to the site's terms and conditions.

Customize your trip by adding additional activities such as sightseeing and attending entertainment performances.

Click "Continue with Booking" at the bottom of the screen. Change any trip preferences as needed and click "proceed to booking."

Add traveler names and phone numbers and click "Add this Traveler and Continue Checkout."

Provide payment information, add email address and complete transaction.
