Step1
Drink red clover tea daily to cleanse the blood and eliminate bacterial infections in the body, which hastens the healing process.
Step2
Make a decoction of echinacea by boiling 2 teaspoons of echinacea root and 1 cup of water. Allow it to simmer for 10 minutes and drain. Drink 3 times daily to help rid the body of bacterial infections.
Step3
Take milk thistle capsules daily to cleanse the liver and bloodstream.
Step4
Relieve the pain of an abscess by applying a hot compress of chamomile tea. Soak a clean white towel in a strong infusion of chamomile tea and apply to the abscess several times daily.
Step5
Apply a goldenseal poultice directly to the abscess. Using sterile gauze, apply the goldenseal extract directly to the abscess.
Step6
Use tea tree oil to treat the abscess. You can mix 4 parts water to 1 part tea tree oil and apply to the abscess 3 times a day. Tea tree oil is a powerful and effective antiseptic that kills bacteria.
Step7
Rub the abscessed area liberally with cold-pressed aloe vera gel throughout the healing process.
Step8
Speed up healing of an abscess once it has drained with a cream made with calendula or St. John's Wort oil. Look for it at health food stores.
