How to Play Games in Vista

Like its predecessor Windows XP, Windows Vista comes with an array of fun games to play and the new Vista games have better graphics. It includes several games including Solitaire, Spider Solitaire, FreeCell and Hearts. Follow these tips to play included games and new games in Vista.

      Click the "Windows Vista" icon at the bottom left of the screen. A menu will open up displaying all the options available.

      Slide the mouse pointer up to the gray side of the menu. Click the "Games" button with the left side of the mouse. The "Games" window opens up displaying all the games that come with Windows Vista. Each game has its own icon.

      Choose the game you want to play and double-click the icon for that game. The game will open up. Play the game according to the game instructions. Use the mouse to select cards or move pawns around the screen.

      Use the "Help" menu if you need rule clarification. Close the game by clicking the "X" at the top right of the game's window.

      Add a new game to your Windows game collection by purchasing a game that is Vista compatible.

      Place the game CD or DVD in the computer. The game will open automatically.

      Follow the instructions to install the game. Once the game is installed, you can play the game by double-clicking on the game icon located on the desktop.
