Firefox is a web browser used to access the Internet. Although there are many Internet browsers, some prefer Firefox because it's faster, more secure and easily customized to surf the Internet. Firefox's best feature is its protection against viruses and scams.

Instructions

Difficulty: Moderate
Step1
Download Firefox free from the site listed in the Resource section.
Step2
Look over the features of Firefox. It offers tabbed browsing, search engine toolbars, and automatic spell check. Firefox uses less space, and downloads web pages faster.
Step3
Take advantage of the automatic popup blocker that Firefox offers.
Step4
Use the tab browsing that is automatically set in Firefox. This makes the browser easier to use because you only have one window open.
Step5
Move between tabs. You can do this by using "Ctrl Tab" to open the right tab and "Ctrl Shift Tab" to go to the left tab. You can open a new tab by pressing "Ctrl T."
Step6
Customize Firefox to your own needs. Some of the features you can customize are sharing your bookmarks with others, writing blogs and getting news and music.
Step7
Install FasterFox, which will speed up Firefox. It will also add to Firefox's performance and allow you to fine tune network and rending settings. Rending settings include pipelining, cache and simultaneous connections.
