How to Plan a Work Related Wedding Shower
As the workplace becomes a friendlier environment, it's more common for offices to throw a wedding shower for a bride or groom. But given the professional environment of the office, throwing a shower at work takes different planning than a shower for a friend or family member in your home.

1
Talk to your engaged coworker about throwing a shower at work for them. Decide on an available date while keeping in mind the best time to have a shower is 6 weeks before the event.
-
2
Determine where the shower will be and schedule a time. Workplace showers are most successful when held over the lunch hour. A common place to host the shower is the office's lunch or break room.

3
Call a local caterer. Schedule the arrival of food 20 to 30 minutes before the party begins. This allows time for last minute food prep.
-
4
Ask your engaged coworker where they're registered and include the registry information in the invitations.
-
5
Send out invitations. Keep it simple and either send out an interoffice memo or use an online invitation service, such as Evite. You can also post bulletins throughout the office's public spaces to ensure that everyone is invited.

Decorate the party area with festive wedding decorations, set out utensils, cups and napkins and set aside a table for gifts. Enlist the help of several of your coworkers to help the set up run quickly and smoothly.
