Nintendo is constantly putting out products that feature the latest and greatest technologies. The Nintendo DS can now be used for multimedia, playing music and even video files. All that is required to play MP3s on your DS is an R4 flash cart. It is even possible to listen to music while playing games.

Instructions

Difficulty: Moderately Challenging

Step1
Save some MP3s in your flash cart, which is R4 for a Nintendo DS. They must be transferred from the hard drive of your computer before the R4 is installed in the DS.
Step2
Find a homebrew multi-media player application to download. This is the software that enables the files to play. The most highly recommended one is MoonShell since it is user-friendly and low-cost.
Step3
Download MoonShell to your computer from the Internet for small fee. Once downloaded, copy MoonShell to the applications folder of your DS. Then save it to your memory card.
Step4
Turn on the Nintendo DS once the application has been downloaded. When the DS boots, you can choose from several options, such as games or music. MoonShell automatically finds all of the MP3 files saved to the R4.
Step5
Select the "Music" button on the right-hand side of the screen once it appears.
Step6
Use the pen to select "All Songs" or "Library" from the options on the left side of the screen. If you select "All Songs," then choose the artist, album or genre wanted before selecting "Play." It is now much like using any MP3 player.
