Step 1
Think about the guest list, which you either get from the bride or create on your own. Checking who's on the list helps ensure that the party is appropriate for everybody that'll be there. You don't want to plan to go out drinking all night if the mother of the bride is coming and doesn't like drinking.
-
Step 2
Plan your location or locations. A simple gathering at a house with a cookout, bonfire or hot tub are great ways to spend a day or an evening. Otherwise, a hall, a restaurant, a bar or spa are fun places to go for the whole party or to just stop in at before moving on.
-
Step 3
Provide transportation for your guests. No matter where you go and what you do, someone's likely to have too much to drink. To keep this bachelorette party from turning into a nightmare, make sure your guests have a ride home or from place to place.
-
Step 4
Keep your itinerary private, even from the other guests, until the night unfolds. Chances are good that if you tell anyone, the future groom is going to find out--and you don't want him and his buddies crashing your bachelorette party.
-
Step 5
Entertain your bride and the guests with food, drinks and lots of games. Your food can be as simple as a cookout or a pot luck or as expensive as a restaurant or a catering service. For entertainment, go for a low-key CD player with the bride's favorite music, have a hot tub night of truth or dare or do something crazy like hitting all the bars on your town's strip. Your imagination is the limit.
