How to Organize a Wedding Album

Photos are meant to be shared and treasured, not thrown in a shoe box. Unfortunately, many people are apprehensive to start a wedding album because they aren't sure how to properly organize one. The process isn't difficult, if you take it slowly and do it piece by piece. In no time, you'll have a wedding album that's nice and tidy and sure to be treasured for generations to come.

Instructions

    • 1

Put all your photos in one place. Enlist the help of friends and family members if you had multiple people take pictures at the event. Order reprints of photos that you can no longer find.

    • 2

Label your photos. Write on the back of each photo the names of the people in the photo. This will help when it comes time to create the album pages.

    • 3

Sort through your pictures selectively. Take out any bad shots or ones that don't fit well in the photo album. Not every photo needs to make the cut, so try to whittle down your photos to a few dozen if possible.

    • 4

Lay them out in order or by theme. The way you organize your wedding album is up to you, but go through your photos and lay them out on the floor or table so that you can examine visually how the book will progress when you're done.

Keep it simple. Start creating the pages of your album from the beginning and focus on one page at a time. It may take you a little while to complete it, but it will be well worth it in the end.
