Step 1
Analyze the strengths and weaknesses of each forwards team. Some teams employ an attacking style of offense that can benefit a fantasy soccer owner. In addition, some teams have a bevy of talented forwards that could spread out the scoring and limit one player's effectiveness.
-
Step 2
Choose forwards that take penalty, free and corner kicks for his team. This can lead to higher scoring by the forward due to increased dead ball opportunities.
-
Step 3
Select a fantasy soccer forward that plays and scores consistently throughout the season. Some players stats are inflated by a few games in which that score multiple points, while in the other matches these players do next to nothing for the fantasy soccer owner.
-
Step 4
Stay away from players listed improperly on the position list. Sometimes players that listed as forwards actually play more of defensive role for their team. Be sure to check each player's statistical history before the fantasy soccer draft.
-
Step 5
Verify any changes in the soccer league or the team during the off-season. If a rule changes that emphasizes a particular style of play, then drafting to that style is prudent. Also, determine what off-season moves each team made that may affect their player line-ups and rotations during the year.
