Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Step1
Increase your exercise routine and eat healthier in the months that you traditionally gain unhealthy weight. This is typically the winter months for adults and the summer months for teenagers and children.
Step2
Sleep less and eat less in the winter months. Adults tend to shut down their body systems and hibernate to a certain extent in the winter. Keep your body happy and upbeat by maintaining a set sleeping and eating schedule.
Step3
Increase your exposure to bright light during the months in which your BMI rises. Consult your physician about whether tanning is right for you in the winter. The rays may make your body happier and keep your weight in check.
Step4
Get outdoors and move around. This is true especially if it's snowy outside. Walking and exercising in the snow provides good resistance for your routine and that can speed your results.
Step5
Schedule more outgoing activities for yourself during high BMI months. The more activities you schedule outside your home, the happier your body tends to be and the more exercise you get. Go to the zoo, walk around the mall or stroll through a museum.
