Persuading a male friend to take dance lessons can be difficult if he is the type to sit in a corner and watch at clubs. People who don't know how to dance may be so self conscious they need a stiff nudge to get into dance lessons. Learn how you can get a man to take dance lessons.

Difficulty: Moderate
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Get into a mood before you are going to your first lesson. When you are getting ready, put some music on to get the beat going for the night. Once you get the dance vibe in your man's soul, he will start moving his limbs.

  2. Step 2

Have a few drinks or cappuccinos. It might sound silly, but most guys that are afraid of dancing need a few cocktails before they can swing their hips. It might take the edge of the nerves and anxiety over dancing.

  3. Step 3

Take him out to a dance club before you go for lessons. Let him get his groove on the dance floor. It will ease him into the scenario and make him feel more comfortable when you take your first lesson.

  4. Step 4

Practice at home and listen to music while cooking or doing household chores. Then suggest taking dance lessons and see his response. If he is still uncomfortable with taking the lessons, then make a compromise. Do something he has always wanted you to do, like going to a baseball game with him

  5. Step 5

Get some of his friends into it. Tell them you are thinking of taking lessons and get a group of you to go together. Mutual support will motivate him to go to the lessons with you.
