How to Display an OpenOffice Impress Presentation on the Web

After you have created an OpenOffice Impress presentation, you may want to display that presentation on the web. Impress has a HTML Export wizard show you how to make your presentation web ready. Follow the steps below to display your presentation on the Internet.

Things You’ll Need:

  • OpenOffice Impress
Step1
Start OpenOffice Impress and open an existing presentation. Choose the "File" menu and click on "Export" to open the "Export" dialog box.
Step2
Type a name for your file in the "Name" text box and choose a destination where you want to save the presentation. Select "HTML Document" from the drop-down "File format" menu.
Step3
Click the "Save" button to save the presentation and open the "HTML Export" dialog box.
Step4
Leave the "Assign design" choice on "New design," unless you want to choose a saved, existing design. Click the "Next" button to move to the next screen.
Step5
Select a publication type and the options you want for your web presentation. Click the "Next" button to move to the next screen.
Step6
Decide how you want to save your graphics, the quality of the graphics, what effects you want to leave on the presentation and what monitor resolution you want for displaying the presentation. Click "Next" to move on to the next screen.
Step7
Enter the information for the title page, if you decided to include one. Click the "Next" button to reach the final screen where you will choose your button style and color scheme.

Tips & Warnings

  • During the "HTML Export" wizard, you can choose the "Create" button at any time to create your presentation without applying any extra settings.
