Chocolate scented beauty products are a chocolate lover's dream, but unfortunately these luxury products often cost a small fortune and are full of harsh chemicals, unnecessary dyes and artificial perfumes. You can pamper yourself by making your own natural chocolate hand cream.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  1. Step 1

Combine 2 ounces of beeswax, 3/4 cups of coconut oil and 1/4 cup of pure cocoa butter in the top of a double boiler. Squeeze the oil from two 400 IU vitamin E capsules into the mixture as a natural preservative and antioxidant for your hand cream.

  2. Step 2

Heat the mixture until the beeswax melts, being careful not to overheat, as heating can destroy the natural healing elements of your oils. The mixture should never get so hot that you cannot touch it.

  3. Step 3

Warm 1 cup of water in a separate pot. Pour the warm water into a blender and place the lid on the blender. Remove the small circular cap of your blender's lid and turn it onto it's lowest setting.

  4. Step 4

Slowly pour the warm oil and wax mixture into the blender. While still blending, add 10 drops of chocolate essential oil to the mix. Continue blending the mixture until is cools and thickens into an even cream.

  5. Step 5

Turn off the blender and spoon your finished chocolate hand cream into small jars with tight fitting lids. Allow the cream to cool thoroughly before sealing.

  6. Step 6

Store your natural hand creams in a cool and dark location to prolong shelf life. If you live in a hot climate, keep your natural beauty products in the refrigerator.

Tips & Warnings
  • When making natural beeswax products, pellets are most convenient; however, you can shave beeswax bricks with an ordinary cheese grinder or even a sharp knife for the same effect.
