Instructions

    • 1

Clean the vinyl record with soap and water. Dry it well with a lint-free towel.

    • 2

Choose a bowl or pan to use as a mold. Experiment with different bowls. Round bowls of various depths, square pans and loaf pans yield a variety of finished shapes.

    • 3

Preheat the oven to 200 degrees F.

    • 4

Lay the bowl upside down on the cookie sheet. Place the record on top of the bowl.

    • 5

Put the cookie sheet, bowl and record in the oven for 8 to 10 minutes.

    • 6

Remove the items from the oven. Use potholders. The record will not be very hot, but the bowl and cookie sheet might be.

    • 7

Place the bowl right side up. Press on the center of the record to push it into the bowl. Quickly mold it into the shape you want. Put it back in the oven if it cools before you get the desired shape.

    • 8

Let the bowl cool. Paint the bowl or add decorations to the outside, if desired.
