Instead of throwing away unwanted CDs, make a candle holder. The flickering candlelight will make the CD sparkle, adding a beautiful touch of warmth and charm to your home. Personalized CD candle holders also make wonderful gifts.

Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • CD
  • Clear glass votive candle holder
  • Votive candle
  • Felt
  • Craft glue
  • Glitter glue in colors of your choice
  • Scissors
  1. Step 1

Trace the bottom of the votive candle holder onto the felt.

  2. Step 2

Cut out the shape from the felt.

  3. Step 3

Glue the felt cutout onto the bottom of the glass votive candle holder with craft glue.

  4. Step 4

Decorate the glass votive holder using the glitter glue.

  5. Step 5

Allow the glitter glue to dry completely.

  6. Step 6

Attach the votive holder to the CD by gluing the felted bottom to the center of the CD. Make sure that the CD's shiny side faces up.

  7. Step 7

Place the votive candle into the candle holder and your CD candle holder is ready to use.

Tips & Warnings
  • Use the glitter glue to make circles, swirls, lines or any other design that you desire. Each design will reflect differently on the CD when the candle is lit. Make several CD candle holders to decorate a table or room.
  • Use the glitter glue to personalize the CD candle holder by writing a name on the glass votive holder or directly onto the CD.
