Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  1. Step 1

Combine 1/8 of a cup powdered milk, 1 and 1/4 cup baking soda, 1/2 cup citric acid, 1/8 tsp. cinnamon, 1/8 tsp. cardamom and 1/8 tsp. of powdered clove. Add 15 drops of vanilla essential oil and 2 tsp. of water to the mixture and stir thoroughly.

  2. Step 2

Drizzle 2 to 6 tbsp. of almond oil gradually into the dry mixture, stirring constantly. When you can form a ball with the mixture and it does not crumble, you have added enough oil.

  3. Step 3

Press the bath bomb mixture firmly into your lightly oiled molds. Let the mixture set in the molds for a few minutes and then gently tap out your bath bombs onto waxed paper to dry. Once thoroughly dry, store your finished Chai tea bath bombs in an air-tight container.

  4. Step 4

Drop one Chai tea bath bomb into a hot tub and enjoy.

Tips & Warnings
  • You can use regular household items as your molds, such as ice cream scoops, muffin tins or candy molds, or you can buy special bath bomb molds.
  • Pack the mixture firmly into the molds to prevent crumbling once dry.
  • Depending on your climate, your finished Chai tea bath bombs may need a day or two to dry completely.
  • This recipe should make around 7 finished bath bombs.
