How to Make a Green Tea Bath Bomb

Things You'll Need
- Baking soda
- Citric acid
- Loose green tea
- Green food coloring (optional)
- Almond oil
- Molds
- Waxed paper
- Airtight container

Mix together 1 and 1/4 cup baking soda, 1/2 cup citric acid and 2 tbsp. of loose green tea in a bowl. If you are using large leaf green tea, grind the leaves into a powder with a mortar and pestle.

Add 2 tsp. of water and about 5 drops of green food coloring to the bath bomb mixture if desired. Gradually pour in 2 to 6 tbsp. of almond oil into the dry mixture, stirring constantly. When your bath bombs hold together in balls without crumbling you have added enough oil.

Pack the mixture firmly into your lightly oil molds, letting them set for a minute or two before tapping the bath bombs out onto a piece of waxed paper to dry. Once your finished green tea bath bombs are completely dry, store them in an airtight container.

Toss one green tea bath bomb into a hot tub, relax and enjoy.

Tips & Warnings
If you can't find loose green tea, just open up a tea bag or two.
You can make perfect bath bombs with specially designed molds, or get creative and use an ice cream scoop, chocolate or candy molds or even muffin tins. Whatever mold you use, pack the mixture firmly to prevent crumbling when dry.
Depending on your climate, your green tea bath bombs may require a day or two to dry thoroughly.
This recipe should make about 7 bath bombs.
