1
Measure 2 oz. of beeswax and 2 tbsp. of cold pressed or extra virgin coconut oil in the top of a double boiler. Heat the mixture slowly only until the wax melts, being careful not to overheat the oil. Natural oil is a bit sensitive, and overheating can destroy the delicate healing elements. The wax and oil mixture should never get so hot that you cannot comfortable touch it.

2
Remove the wax and oil from heat and squeeze 2 to 4 drops of oil from a vitamin E capsule. The antioxidant properties of vitamin E will nourish and protect your lips and will also preserve your gloss.

Stir in 5 drops of chocolate essential oil. At this point, you can add a bit of flavor and color to your gloss by allowing about 1/8 tsp. of organic baking chocolate melt into the mixture. The baking chocolate will accentuate the aroma, add a slight hint of chocolate flavor and give your lip gloss a subtle brown tint.

Add 2 to 4 drops of beet juice, strawberry juice, blackberry juice or raspberry juice to your chocolate lip gloss mixture if your prefer a slightly red hue. When mixing in color, remember that the color in the mixing bowl should be a few shades darker than the finished color you are working towards.

5
Stir the mixture occasionally as it cools. As it begins to thicken, transfer your finished chocolate lip gloss into a small, sealable container. Leave the container unsealed until the mixture cools completely.
