When you think of a "bunker," you might imagine some kind of underground compound. In paintball, a bunker is usually light and inflatable, made out of plastic. Skilled players use tested tactics to defend these pieces of equipment, utilizing them for protection in heavy fire. Here are some tips for defending a bunker.

Difficulty: Moderately Challenging
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Find your safe zone. Every bunker has its own "home field," an area where a player can use the bunker wall to avoid getting sniped. Figuring out the parameters will help you play smarter.

  2. Step 2

Stay mobile. Don't get squeezed by the limitations of your position, if you are up against the back wall, try to maneuver yourself into a wider spot.

  3. Step 3

Use angles. Your best sniping positions from the bunker are probably at the sides. Be original, and try not to use the same spot twice. Skilled opponents will be patient, find your pattern, and snipe you when you pop up.

  4. Step 4

Keep the pressure on. This is critical. Don't lounge in your bunker zone, leave only seconds between sorties in case your "enemy" is setting up advanced perimeters right next to you.

  5. Step 5

Know when to retreat. If you see opposing players are massing right in front of your bunker, they're preparing to storm it, and you really don't stand much of a chance. It's time to pack up and take a step back, under cover if possible. Hopefully, there's another bunker behind you.
