Add cookies and cream to your next sundae bar to wow and surprise your guests. This rich and creamy sauce is unusual and delicious. Cookies and cream topping requires just a few ingredients and is easy enough for even the most tenacious cook.

Instructions

Difficulty: Moderately Easy

Things You’ll Need:

  • 6 oz. white chocolate
  • 1 1/2 cups heavy whipping cream
  • 6 cream-filled chocolate cookies
  • Resealable plastic bag
  • Rolling pin
  • Bowl
  • Heavy sauce pan
  • Wire whisk
Step1
Put the cream-filled cookies in a resealable plastic bag. Close the bag, and smash the cookies by rolling a rolling pin over the bag. Set the cookies aside.
Step2
Use a sharp knife to chop the white chocolate into small pieces. Put the chocolate in a bowl, and set it aside.
Step3
Pour the cream in a heavy sauce pan. Heat the cream on medium heat until it is almost at a boil. Stir the cream constantly with a wire whisk so it does not scald.
Step4
Remove the cream from the heat. Dump the chocolate into the cream, and whisk until the chocolate has melted.
Step5
Mix the crushed cookies into the sauce just before serving.
Step6
Spoon the desired amount of topping over your favorite ice cream. This topping is especially tasty with strawberry or chocolate ice cream.
Step7
Store unused topping in a tightly sealed container in the refrigerator. Store crushed cookies in a separate tightly sealed container. Reheat individual servings in the microwave for 30 seconds,\ and stir. Add cookies, and then pour the topping over ice cream.
