Appreciating wine is an art form, and learning all of the different components that go into each bottle of wine can take years. Fortunately, there are wine bouquet kits that you can purchase to help speed along the learning process. These kits contain everything you need to taste and sample wine like the pros.

Difficulty: Moderate
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Familiarize yourself with the wine bouquet kit. There are different types of kits on the market, but they each contain a variety of different vials and information to help you properly identify the different components present in wines. Professional wine bouquet kits contain more vials of aroma than general kits, but both work well if you're trying to get a better grasp on wine tasting.

  2. Step 2

Experience the different aromas. Before you begin, you need to open each vial individually to get a whiff of the fragrance inside. Take your time with each one.

  3. Step 3

Read the enclosed literature carefully. Your wine kit contains informative cards that can help you commit each smell to memory.

  4. Step 4

Test yourself. Begin by trying to match the cards up with the different vials. You may only be able to identify one or two in the beginning, but the more you practice, the better you'll become.

  5. Step 5

Take it on the road. Once you have a grasp of the different aromas found in various wines, go out and start trying to identify the smells in bottles of wine. Wine tastings are perfect for a budding wine connoisseur.
