Sail across the pavement with your back wheel as high as your spirit while you perform a decent endo as well as any of your biker buddies. The endo is the trick performed on motorcycles where the rear tire is in the air while the biker rides on the front wheel. It has also been called the front wheelie or stoppie. Read on to learn how to perform an endo on a motorcycle.

Instructions

Difficulty: Challenging

Step1
Practice first. As you are riding the motorcycle, release the front brake before coming to a complete stop a few times. This will help get you used to the feeling of keeping balance when you are ready to perform the endo.
Step2
Get your motorcycle up to a good speed, around 10 to 15 mph.
Step3
Lean forward at first to help pop the back wheel up.
Step4
Apply just enough pressure on the front brake. The key is to do it in a progressive manner. Be sure to do it a little at a time because if you engage the brake too hard, the motorcycle could fly over you end over end, which is how the trick got its name.
Step5
Shift your weight back to balance the effect of the rear wheel coming up.
Step6
Stay on your front tire for as long as you can and keep your wheel high off the road until the motorcycle slows, then stops on its own.

Tips & Warnings

  • Do not apply the rear brake as it will make you skid out of control.
