The choleric, one of four fundamental personalities, is the fire of the psychological elements. This person is driven (sometimes in eccentric ways), opinionated, often loud, and usually looking for the reins in a variety of situations. Here are some ways to make this vitriolic personality type work for you.

Instructions

Difficulty: Moderate

Step1
Get in the driver's seat. A choleric doesn't usually like to take second or follow instructions. Whether it's family, a work-related situation or something else, look for ways to get the clout that you need to feel good about involvement.
Step2
Work on your people skills. Everyone needs to do this, but cholerics are sometimes more susceptible to being viewed as bossy, over-reaching or just mean. Make sure you aren't one of the extreme cholerics wreaking havoc on those around you. Do your best to affect positive, cooperative mannerisms with the people in your boat.
Step3
Keep yourself busy. A choleric will many times be negatively affected by lack of focus or defined goals. In fact, the person who coined the phrase "Idle hands are the devil's workshop" was most likely a choleric, as was, according to legend, Martin Luther, the fiery German father of modern Lutheran Protestantism.
Step4
Stay true to yourself. Again, all of us need to cultivate personal integrity, but cholerics need to feel like they are following their own path, and compromising personal values too much will possibly cause deep conflict in your choleric center.
Step5
Take it easy. Another hazard of the choleric personality is the tendency to get riled about anything and everything and as science has proven, all kinds of over excitement can be detrimental to good health. Cholerics need to factor in their own emotional diets in addition to watching out for cholesterol and sedentary lifestyle.
