How to Make Aromatherapy Bath Oil

Aromatherapy bath oil won't only moisturize and nourish the skin, but it will do wonders to ease stress. A warm aromatherapy bath is a great way to revitalize and calm jangled nerves after a tough day. Add a few drops to your bath water, and sit back and enjoy the delightful scents. Read on to learn how to make aromatherapy bath oil.

Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Wide-mouth glass jar
  • Several handfuls of fresh flower blossoms
  • Extra virgin olive oil or sweet almond oil
  • Cheesecloth or unbleached muslin

    Herbal Aromatherapy Bath Oil

  1. Step 1

    Put all of the ingredients in the glass jar and seal the lid tightly.

  2. Step 2

    Shake the jar until the ingredients are thoroughly blended.

  3. Step 3

    Pour the aromatherapy bath oil into the dark colored bottle and store in a cool place.

  4. Step 4

    Add several drops to warm bath water. Soak for at least 20 minutes.

  5. Fresh Blossom Aromatherapy Bath Oil

  6. Step 1

    Fill the glass jar with the fresh flower blossoms.

  7. Step 2

    Heat enough extra virgin olive oil or sweet almond oil to coat the blossoms in the jar.

  8. Step 3

    Cover the jar with cheesecloth or unbleached muslin and put the jar in a sunny window to set for at least three days.

  9. Step 4

    Stain the aromatherapy bath oil through cheesecloth or unbleached muslin laid in a strainer.

  10. Step 5

    Pour the aromatherapy bath oil into a dark colored bottle and store it in the refrigerator.

Tips & Warnings
  • Any fresh blossoms will work in the fresh blossom aromatherapy bath oil, including gardenia, jasmine, lavender, rose, lilac or pansies.
  • If you want the fresh blossom aromatherapy oil to have a stronger aroma, add a few drops of essential oil.
