How to Get Kentucky Derby Results

The Kentucky Derby is closely followed by horse racing enthusiasts all over the world. For this reason, there are a wide variety of ways to get Kentucky Derby results. You can even find results for Kentucky Derby races run in years past by accessing Internet sites and newspaper catalogs.

Instructions
  1. Step 1

    Get Kentucky Derby results over the phone for free by calling a sports information hotline such as Tellme. To contact Tellme, simply dial (800) 555-Tell. Once you are connected, simply say "Sports" to access sports results. Narrow your search by asking for horse racing, and then for the Kentucky Derby to get a list of winners.

  2. Step 2

    Subscribe to a horse racing magazine such as "Horse Times Magazine," "Track Magazine" or "American Turf Monthly" (see Resources below). Magazines devoted to thoroughbred horse racing always cover the Kentucky Derby and list the results in the May or June issue of the magazine. Most will also have race coverage you can view for free on their websites.

  3. Step 3

    Access the results of the most recent Kentucky Derby, as well as results for past races, by visiting the Churchill Downs website (see Resources below).

  4. Step 4

    Check out the Kentucky Derby blog, hosted the Kentucky Derby website (see Resources below). Not only will you find race results here, but you'll be able to read commentary about the outcome from readers around the world.

  5. Step 5

    Visit the Kentucky Derby Museum at Churchill Downs to see results for derby races run over the past several decades. You can even take a spin on the Warner L. Jones, Jr. Time Machine. The time machine allows you to choose to watch footage of derby races from 1918 to the present day. Most footage also includes interviews with winning jockeys and owners.
