How to Attend the San Jose Super-Con
The San Jose Super-Con is a comic convention held once a year. Although it is relatively small, it offers many of the attributes of larger conventions, including appearances by comic artists and writers, celebrities and a bounty of comics, books, art works and collectibles for sale.

1
Meet celebrities from film and television when you attend Super-Con and take the opportunity to get autographs and take pictures. Recent celebrity guests have included Kipleigh Brown from Star Trek Enterprise, John Dolmayan from System of a Down, and Jon Provost from TV's Lassie. Check out the current list at the Super Con website (see Resources below).
-
2
Join in the fun atmosphere by coming in costume as your favorite comic book, animation or science fiction characters. If you believe your costume is the best in show, enter the Annual San Jose Cosplay costume contest to compete against other devotees.
-
-
3
Participate in question and answer sessions with some of the top artists and creators in the industry. You can ask Frank Cho how he came up with Shanna the She-Devil, or find out how Playboy illustrators, like Doug Sneyd and Dean Yeaglu, got their start. Use the opportunity to find out everything you ever wanted to ask about the comic business.
-
4
Get acquainted with new and independent artists who frequent the convention. Much of the cutting-edge work being created in the industry comes from these unknown, yet talented artists.
-
5
Take home some comic books, toys, collectibles and other paraphernalia found at the San Jose Super-Con, such as the latest and coolest merchandise from the popular Robotech franchise. You may find great bargains at the event, so make sure you make your way around the entire venue.
-
6
Purchase your tickets in advance at a comic shop or via Pay-Pal and receive a discount on the admission price, which is $15 for 1-day pass and $20 for a 2-day pass (see Resources below). You can also buy tickets on the day you attend the event.
