Step1
Share your love of horse racing with your relatives and children on Family Fun Day. You can head to Monmouth Racetracks each Sunday morning to enjoy brunch, watch workouts and tour facilities at a discounted price.
Step2
Pack up some food and a blanket to take advantage of the picnic area at Monmouth Racetracks. This general admission area allows horse racing fans to take in multiple races while having lunch and getting a tan.
Step3
Focus your attention on specific races without the distractions of the outdoors with the Monmouth teletheater. This room features theater-style seating with a large screen showing simulcasts as well as live racing from Monmouth.
Step4
Accumulate points to use toward Monmouth merchandise by becoming a member of the Big M Club. This rewards system allows regular betters to get points for each successful bet. These points can be applied toward T-shirts and other memorabilia.
Step5
Train your eyes on a surging horse down the home stretch with a good pair of binoculars. The race track at Monmouth is 1 mile long and 100 feet wide, which makes viewing horses on the back stretch difficult to the naked eye.
Step6
Gather along the rails of the Walking Ring to see jockeys and horses presented before each race. Follow the gait of the horse as well as the condition of the jockey in the Walking Ring to make a last-minute bet.
Step7
Take a guided tour through Monmouth Racetracks, and watch morning workouts before the first race of the day. A Monmouth tour guide can explain the workout process and show training facilities up to an hour before the horses head to the starting gate.
Step8
Choose between Monmouth's diverse range of restaurants to grab dinner while you follow the evening's races. Venues like the Salvator Grill and the Dining Terrace have multiple viewing places for diners to keep track of their horses.
