Hot Shots Golf Fore is the fourth game in the popular PlayStation gold series. It builds on the strengths of its predecessors and steps up with new graphics and improved controls. Whether you're new to Hot Shots Golf or a seasoned pro, Hot Shots Golf Fore is easy to jump into and will keep you hooked for months. Play against friends or family, or simply challenge yourself in a tournament.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Hot Shots Golf Fore game disc
  • Playstation 2 or 3 (backwards compatible)
  1. Step 1

Set up the game according to how you want to play. Adjust the number of holes using R1 and R2, and customize your character. New clothing and looks will become available as you play.

  2. Step 2

Press the X button to begin your swing. Beginning the swing will set the power meter in motion. The power meter, along the bottom of the screen will move left toward the end. The farther you let it go the more powerful your swing will be.

  3. Step 3

Tap the X button a second time to select the power of the swing. Notice that the indicator is graduated to show the distance the ball will travel at specific power levels. This distance meter will change according to the club you choose, too.

  4. Step 4

Tap X a final time as the power meter heads toward the "Sweet Spot" bar. If you press the X button as the indicator hits the Sweet Spot you'll end up with a perfect swing. If you're just to the left or right of the Sweet Spot you'll end up in the Impact Zone and hit a great shot. Anything too far left or right and you'll end up hooking the ball.

  5. Step 5

Put a spin on the ball using one of the directional buttons on the D-Pad. Pressing "Up," for example, will cause the ball to hang in the air longer, while pressing Right will cause the ball to spin right then back left (great for avoiding trees and other obstacles).

Tips & Warnings
  • Press L1, L2, R1, R2, Select and Start at the same time to return to the Main Menu. This is a good thing to remember for those moments when your gold game is so bad you want to play again from the beginning.
  • Always remember to choose the right club for the right situation. There's no sense in using a sand wedge when you're teeing off!
  • You better have an ironclad ego because your caddies can be ruthless. They are encouraging before and after great shots, but if you fail or begin to falter over the long term, the verbal abuse you'll receive will be intense.
