How to Use Craigslist to Meet Other Transexuals

Craigslist is a popular website where people from all over the world can post free classified ads. In fact, the ads on Craigslist are just like the classified ads you'd find in your local newspaper, with people announcing garage sales, selling old furniture, giving away kittens and advertising job openings. People also use Craigslist to place personal ads. There are many different categories of personal ads on Craigslist, such as one for women who want to meet women and one for people who are just looking for friends. You can even use Craigslist to meet other transexuals.

Instructions

1. Read the personal ads on Craigslist (see Resources below). You can choose the category that most appeals to you, such as Miscellaneous Romance, Men Seeking Men or Just Friends and scroll through the ads looking for ones written by other transexuals.

2. Do a keyword search on Craigslist. You can type the word "transexual" into the search box and click on the "personals" category. You'll get a listing of all the ads in your area containing the word "transexual" that have been posted in the past few months.

3. Send an email through Craigslist to the people you want to meet. Each Craigslist ad will have a unique email address at the top of the page. Click on that link to write your email message. Craigslist will then deliver the message to the person's real email address. Be sure to include your own email address in the message so the recipient can respond to you.

4. Place your own Craigslist ad in the personals section. Indicate that you're looking to meet other transexuals in the area and tell a little bit about yourself. If you want to include a photo, Craigslist will allow you to post up to four per message.

5. Branch out to other areas. Craigslist is worldwide, so you don't have to limit yourself to your own town. Use the list of cities to look through the ads of neighboring areas. This will greatly increase your chances of meeting other transexuals with whom you can be friends.

• People may not always be who they say they are on Craigslist. That's why it's essential to meet in a public place the first time. You want to have a chance to see and talk to any other transexual in a well-lit, well-traveled environment in order to make sure he is on the level and not dangerous.
