If you are handy with a sewing machine, or even if you are only okay with one, you can save your child's burp cloths for when they are older.

Difficulty: Moderate
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Burp cloths
  • A sewing machine or needle and thread
  1. Step 1

Lay out your burp cloths and discard any that are just too badly stained.

  2. Step 2

Choose several burp cloths to create your ice pack holders.

  3. Step 3

Fold the burp cloths so that the pattern is on the inside.

  4. Step 4

Sew along two sides, leaving the third side open.

  5. Step 5

Turn your new ice pack holders right side out.

Tips & Warnings
  • When you fold your burp cloths, leave an inch or so more than you need for the ice packs. You will have to trim off the excess.
  • Keep your cloths handy to keep ice packs off of your child's skin when they are injured.

on 3/7/2008 Very cool! My future sister-in-law's kids are way past the stage where they still need burp cloths. She loves craft projects so I'll be sure to pass this idea along. Thanks!
