This zesty recipe makes for a quick dinner with a very short prep time. If you like your supper to have a kick to it, try out this dish.

Instructions

Difficulty: Easy

Things You’ll Need:

  • 1 & 1/2 cups of picante sauce
  • 3 Tablespoons of brown sugar
  • 1 Tablespoon of dijon mustard
  • 3 cups of white rice
  • 4 boneless skinless chicken breasts

Step1
In a small bowl, mix the picante sauce, brown sugar, and mustard.
Step2
Place chicken in a greased baking dish. Pour the picante mix over the chicken breasts. Bake at 400 degrees for 40-45 minutes or until the chicken is no longer pink and the insides are white.
Step3
Serve with 3 cups of cooked white rice.

Tips & Warnings

  • For extra flavor, you can top the chicken with some shredded sharp cheddar just before it comes out of the oven.
  • You can also serve this dish with some tortilla chips on the side or place some tortilla chips on top of the chicken after placing a serving on your plate.
  • Be careful not to cook too long as the sauce may dissipate or it may begin to stick to the baking dish.
