Everyone loves keeping a visible sign of their child's growth, and kids love it too! Make it part of a birthday tradition, but make sure you can move it or you will have to tear out the door frame to keep it should you move.

Instructions

Difficulty: Moderately Easy

Things You’ll Need:

  • A six foot long piece of wood
  • Paint
  • Wooden accents, stickers, or other decorations
  • A pen
  • A ruler or yard stick

Step1
Paint your wood plank in any color you like.
Step2
Use wood accents or other decorations to make your growth chart look nice.
Step3
Mark off height as often as you want, every inch, foot, or however you like it.
Step4
Mark height at every birthday to keep your growth chart up to date.

Tips & Warnings

  • Attach the chart to a wall to make it a semi-fixed part of the decorations.
  • Use your chart to teach your kids about growing.
