Beaded Earrings

If you're like me, you love jewelry. I don't love the prices, however. Turns out, it is actually quite easy to make your own stylish beaded earrings for as little as a couple of bucks!
Beads on Headpins
Place beads on the head pins. Headpins come in different lengths so be sure you get ones long enough to fit your beads. Leave about a quarter of an inch at the top. If the headpins are too long, cut them down.
Bend Wire
Bend tip of headpins to about a 45 degree angle.
Pinch Ends With Pliers
Pinch tip of headpin with your round nose pliers.
Loop
Turn wire with pliers to form a loop.
Beaded Earrings
Use pliers to open loop slightly by pushing wire back. Place wire through the loop of the earring wire. Close loop.

on 7/6/2008 Thanks for the article. A friend of my daughters came over last week, wearing some she made. We bought all the supplies, she wasn't with us, and I was hoping I got them all. After reading your article, I see that I did. When her friend comes over again on Tuesday we are going to learn how to make these. I see this is going to be a great gift idea, since I have two girls and maybe even make a little money on the side.
