How to Experience the Paranormal in Salem, Massachusetts
Step1
Plan ahead and enjoy Salem's Festival of the Dead. Held in the month of October, there are plenty of cool things for paranormal enthusiasts to do including getting ghost hunting tips from New England Ghost Project founder Ron Koleck, an authentic séance and a dinner with the dead!
Step2
Book a room at The Hawthorne Hotel and try to get a reservation on the haunted sixth floor. Cold spots and swinging chandeliers are just a few ways you can feel the presence of the ghosts of murdered lovers. Try EVP work here.
Step3
The Ward house in Salem is reputed to be the final resting place of 1692's evil Sheriff George Corwin and is supposedly haunted by witch trial victim Giles Cory. Corwin kept a disgraceful jail. He was known for torturing inmates.
Step4
Don't forget to check out the cemeteries. Not only are the headstones at Saint Mary's Cemetery interesting, but the spirit people as well. Visitors say they feel an unexplainable sense of evil and negative energy, while others report seeing white orbs in the darkness and strange noises. Spooky!
